Privacy Policy
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data is processed when you visit this website and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is a static website. When you access it, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, transferred data volume, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are deleted according to the retention rules of our hosting provider: name and address of hosting provider – to be completed.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking tools and does not embed third-party content. Web fonts are served from our own server, so no font request is sent to third parties.
4. Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide (e-mail address, name, content of your message) is processed to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). We delete this data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Applications and pitch decks
If you apply to one of our investment programmes, we process the data contained in your application and pitch deck to evaluate your business (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Applications may be shared with the members of our Investment Jury and our local teams in Uganda and Sierra Leone under confidentiality. If no investment follows, application data is deleted after the selection process unless you agree to us keeping it for future cohorts.
6. Newsletter
You can join our mailing list by e-mail. We use your address solely to send you updates about RAIN (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time by e-mail to team@redsalt.org.
7. External links
This website links to external websites (e.g. LinkedIn, partner and portfolio company websites). The privacy policies of the respective operators apply once you follow such a link.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.
